The right answers to the big questions are always simple! Yes, it is possible! We just need to explain to ourselves, and then to our children, why knowledge is important and what mobile phones are actually for!
Every knowledge we acquire becomes a part of us and as such continues to live and grow in us and make us better and more valuable, and then as we grow up we become more confident, satisfied and happier because of it. In today’s society, technology, and most of all, mobile phones. We were swept away by too much unnecessary information and communication! And then we all entered a global marathon together with time that is continuously accelerating. In that race against time, we mistakenly, for a moment, gave our children mobile phones, to just rest a little and “restart”, and that’s how it all began!
What to do now?
All of us together will go back just one step back and that will already be enough to get back to ourselves and our children to our home and our school. We will explain to children how important knowledge is, we will celebrate it as something beautiful, exciting and attractive in every moment of our school life. And at home, when evening falls, we will all leave our mobile phones somewhere on a distant shelf. We will stop, we will go out to the yard, the terrace, the window and look for a piece of starry sky, the children will look at the sky while we read aloud a story about courage, faithfulness, selflessness, kindness, love and everything that we forget to think about!

Here are some practical tips on how to get your child’s attention away from their mobile phones.
- Set boundaries and define clear rules about the amount of time your children can spend on the phone and when they can use the device. For example, you can set a time schedule for when you are allowed to use your phone, as well as the time to do other activities, such as studying, playing sports, or interacting socially.
- Designate some rooms in the house or apartment, such as the dining room or bedroom, where the use of the phone is prohibited. This will help children focus on everything else they are doing, as well as take a break from the screen.
- Be an example to your children by limiting the time you spend on your phone. When they see that you also limit the use of the phone, children will be motivated to follow your example, and together you will have more free time that you can spend in a much more creative and healthy way.
- Encourage your children to engage in other activities and get involved in them. Read, draw, cook, dance, play sports, spend as much time as possible outdoors, together with your children.
Children follow your example, so be a positive role model, their well-being is always yours too!
