It is best when parents make the right decision at the very beginning and enroll their child in school, where he will be happy, satisfied and successful until the end of school!
We choose a school on the basis of available information, which can be semi-information, on the basis of other people’s impressions, which are not our impressions and can be very biased, on the basis of one or two short stays in it, often without getting to know the primary school teacher, we choose it without a real insight into the quality of work. We choose it and hope for the best!
How do we know if the school our child attends is the right one? How and when to assess whether it might be better to change schools?
If you feel that your child is not safe either physically or psychologically, if you are afraid when you send him to school that he will get hurt, or that someone will hurt him, then that is reason enough to ask yourself. The safety of children in schools depends on the organization, seriousness and commitment of all school employees.
If you estimate that the quality of teaching is not at a high level, that children are given less and require more knowledge, that the methods of work are outdated, that the material is just “flipped” to satisfy the form, that teaching is not adapted to children, if it is not taken into account that each child has his own talent, his own advantage, his own uniqueness, then this is not a good way.
If the child is not monitored, if the proper development of his personality and his comprehensive progress are not stimulated, if you do not see, yourself, that the child is more valuable to you, that he knows more, that he is more satisfied and confident in himself than last year, then perhaps it is time to consider a potential change of school.
